President Obama Appoints Dwayne Betts to Federal Juvenile Justice Panel

Today, we are pleased to announce that President Obama appointed Reginald Dwayne Betts to serve on the Federal Coordinating Council on Juvenile Justice (FCCJJ) for a three year term.  The FCCJJ was established by the Juvenile Justice & Delinquency Prevention Act (JJDPA) and includes federal agency representatives such as the heads of the U.S. Departments of Justice, Health & Human Services, and Labor, as well as nine practitioner members.  To our knowledge, Betts is the first person appointed to this council who has been directly affected by the justice system.  To learn more about the FCCJJ, visit:
